WI Department of Tourism Listening Sessions

Kelli A. Trumble, the Cabinet Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism will be holding listening sessions with our industry partners in the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers area on Wednesday, February 3 and Thursday, February 4.
 

The natural beauty of the Rivers, combined with the diverse tourism products that have been established over the years, offer Wisconsin travelers an array of truly unique experiences. At the Department we remain committed to highlighting the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers in our marketing efforts. As we move forward with creating new marketing strategies for bringing guests into the area, we would like to hear about your successes, challenges, plans and goals. We invite everyone with an interest in the business of tourism along the Rivers to join us in a discussion.

Trumble will be joined at each session by Kathy Kopp, Governor’s Council on Tourism member and Executive Director of the Platteville Area Chamber of Commerce.  Also attending is the Department’s manager of marketing and communications, Janet DesChenes, as well as your Tourism Development Specialists for each area, Patrick Reinsma or Sarah Pischer.
 

Finally, to help guide these discussions, we have prepared a brief online survey regarding tourism along the Rivers. We welcome and encourage input from all industry partners, whether or not you will be able to attend the session in your area. Your response will help establish the basis for a lively and productive conversation.
